It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of our Director, Jonathon Wickham in a skidiving accident on saturday 20 October.

Catherine Wickham, Jonathon`s wife and co-director, along with the team at OZ Shade would like to confirm that they are dedicated to continue Jonathon`s fantastic work, the selling and manufacturing of the best shading systems in the world.

We are proud to announce that OZ Shade is now the Portuguese Dealer for these fantastic RETRACTABLE SHADE SAILS by Sassus.

img thumbJPGControlled by an autonomous weather station the JADEN sunsail by SASSUS automatically unfolds when the sun shines and retracts when the wind velocity exceeds 50 km/hr (for safety reasons).
Each sunsail is custom made. Form, colour and dimensions can be freely chosen.

A letter from one of our fabric manufacturers

tommy robin j n c thumbJPGFrom day one we have only ever used the best, most durable UV protective shade materials available on the world market and we are proud to have established great working relationships with the leading manufacturers of these fabrics.

Each year since 2003 we have had a visit from MULTIKNIT representative Wally Davey. These visits have become a highlight of our business (and personal!) year as well as a good gauge for us that we are on the right track with our use of their high quality products.

Wally retires later this year and so brought his replacement with him during his recent visit in May. It was great for us to meet our new representative Robin Card, and to have the two of them together was just fantastic for us! After all, these guys have been amongst the best in the business for a long time, have traveled the world visiting companies big and small and have a wealth of knowledge on how to get the best results with their products.

On their return to South Africa we received the following email....you can imagine how happy we were to read it!

Dear Catherine and Jonathan,

Both Wally and I would like to thank you for making us feel most welcome during our recent trip to Portugal.

Although I am repeating myself, I must say that the quality of your work is by far of the highest standard that I have yet encountered.

From what we saw, it is clear that you have built your reputation around the quality aspect, and take pride in your work. This shows very clearly.

If you do not mind, we would like to refer a number of our customers to your website, as we know that this will show many of our customers what can be done. Please let me know if you object.

As mentioned, I would like to add some of your photo's into my archive of photo's, and pass these photo's on to a few of our customers to show them what can be done with our products.

If there is anything that I can do to assist, please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Best Regards

Robin (and Wally)
